Defendants in this consolidated proceeding appeal from convictions for illegal possession and sale of marihuana in hashish form, ORS 474.020. The main issue centers on alleged failure of police to comply with Oregon's "knock and announce" statute, ORS 133.290,1 in executing a search warrant.

Defendants also challenge the joinder in their indictments of the charges of possession...
