This is an appeal from an adoption proceeding wherein plaintiffs, Robert L. Cupp and Geraldine S. Cupp, petitioned the Howard Circuit Court for adoption of a child born September 26, 1967. Respondents, Jerry L. Johnson and Constance E. Johnson, the natural parents of the infant, filed objections to the adoption alleging the invalidity of consents signed by each of them. The trial court held the consents to be valid and granted the adoption to plaintiffs...
