Defendant, a gasoline service station operator, was convicted in Highland Park Municipal Court of violating the Weights and Measures Act of 1964, specifically of having in his possession for use an incorrect device for measuring retail sales of motor fuel, contrary to MCLA § 290.608 (Stat Ann 1971 Cum Supp § 12.1081[8]) and MCLA § 290.631(a) (Stat Ann 1967 Rev § 12.1081 [31] [a]).
