Since this case involves a suit in ejectment and a patent for submerged lands, it is a relatively "rare bird" in present day judicial proceedings. It also involves claims relative to accretion and an argument as to what is proper evidence to establish mesne profits, with the added spice of a contention that the case is now moot because of a settlement between certain of the parties...
