Appellant was charged by affidavit with Theft by Deception on September 30, 1968. Appellant pleaded not guilty to the charge and requested trial by jury. Trial began on June 9, 1970, in the Superior Court of Tippecanoe County. On June 11, 1970, the jury returned a verdict of guilty as charged.
