The complaint in this action alleged, in substance, that the defendant, who was a boat builder, agreed to build and deliver to the plaintiff a mast for the latter's yacht; that the plaintiff agreed to and did furnish materials and hardware worth about $1300 to be affixed to the mast; that he agreed to pay, and actually paid, $4558 to the defendant for the labor involved at the rate of $4 an hour; and that the defendant has failed to deliver the mast...
