Mr. JUSTICE SCHWARTZ delivered the opinion of the court.

The defendant, aged eighteen, pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal damage to property (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1969, ch. 38, par. 21.1) and was sentenced to serve one year on probation, the first six days thereof to be served in the House of Correction. On July 2, 1970, the State petitioned for a rule requiring defendant to show cause why the probation should not be terminated for violation...
