On April 23, 1969, two small aircraft collided over Middletown, Rhode Island resulting in the death of five men. Plaintiff alleges that one of the planes, a Cessna, was engaged in a maneuver involving take-offs and landings at Newport State Airport in Middletown, Rhode Island, and that, at the time of the crash, the other plane, a Beechcraft, was approaching that same airport, preparatory to landing.
