Plaintiff, an inmate at Marquette Prison, seeks a writ of mandamus requiring the Department of Corrections to hold a formal parole violation hearing.

On December 6, 1968, plaintiff was paroled from prison where he was serving a sentence for the felony of escape. On February 7, 1969, a complaint was filed against the plaintiff charging him with possession of an uncased shotgun in an automobile....
