This suit, which names 1250 persons, among others, as plaintiffs, was brought as a class action and attempts to set up a dozen or more classes or subclasses pursuant to Rule 23, Fed.R.Civ.Proc., 28 U.S.C., and presents difficult and puzzling questions of procedural and substantive law.
