These three consolidated suits arise from multiple rear end, chain-reaction collisions which occurred at approximately 11:10 A. M., September 7, 1966, on U.S. Highway 190, near Livonia, Pointe Coupee Parish. At the scene the highway is a four-lane, paved roadway running in an easterly-westerly direction.
