Plaintiff Carlysle suffered personal injuries as a result of an explosion and flash fire on May 1, 1967, in the rental house owned by defendant Philip Burns. The explosion occurred during or immediately following the filling of an outdoor butane gas tank by an employee of defendant Tuloma Gas Products Company.
