Appellant Hudson was arraigned in the People's Court for Anne Arundel County on a robbery charge on October 5, 1970. Bond was set by the presiding judge at $25,000. Unable to post the bond, Hudson was jailed pending trial. He promptly filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County, claiming that the bond was excessive and a denial...
