Appellants (defendants below) are James E. Peterson, a building contractor and judgment creditor of St. Pierre Investment, Inc., and his assignee, Ralph S. Riffenburgh. Respondents are several occupants of an apartment house project in South Laguna known as the "Laguna Royale" which was developed by St. Pierre.
