Lorenzo Edward Ervin, Jr. was convicted by a jury of aircraft piracy in violation of 49 U.S.C.A. § 1472(i) (1963), and of kidnapping in violation of 18 U.S.C.A. § 1201 (1966). He was sentenced to concurrent terms of life imprisonment on each count.
