Defendant was charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, MCLA § 750.83 (Stat Ann 1962 Rev § 28.278). To both counts defendant pled not guilty by reason of insanity. He was convicted by a jury on two counts of the lesser included offense of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder.1
