The accident in this motor tort case occurred on a rainy afternoon in July of 1965 at the intersection of Taylor Avenue and Hillsway, which was controlled by a traffic light. The appellant Erna Herbert was traveling north on Hillsway a street four lanes wide with parking on both sides. She intended to make a left turn and go west on Taylor Avenue.
