The question we reach in this de novo review of a workmen's compensation claim is whether the claimant suffered an injury in the course of his employment on the employer's premises.

The claimant was employed on the swing shift as a drill press operator. He left the premises to eat a meal in his pickup truck at about 8 p.m. on August 25, 1969. His pickup truck was located in a parking lot outside a fence which enclosed the plant. Ingress...
