Defendant, after jury trial, was convicted of second-degree assault. He appeals.

In the late afternoon of July 24, 1970, Frank Riley was drinking with two friends, William Cox and Richard Kirch, in the Carvery Room at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. They were waiting for Riley's plane. Defendant, who was unknown to them, sat down at their table. He presently entered into conversation with Riley, apparently learned he had some money...
