This is an appeal from a verdict of guilty returned by a jury in a trial for the offense of aggravated battery. Defendant was sentenced by the trial judge to from five to ten years in the Illinois State Penitentiary, this sentence to run consecutively with defendant's nine to twelve year sentence for the offense of arson entered earlier...
