Defendant, Cecil Habbord, was arrested in Florida and returned to Colorado pursuant to a warrant issued from the County Court of Larimer County on September 8, 1967, charging him with the offense of "larceny" under C.R.S.1963, 40-5-2, committed on August 29, 1967. The crime of "larceny" had been redesignated by the legislature as "theft" by an amendment of 40-5-2 which became effective July 1, 1967. Accordingly...
