These are related cases consolidated for presentation in this court.

No. 71-1237 is a direct appeal following appellant's conviction for a violation of the Dyer Act, 18 U.S.C. § 2312, after a jury trial in the District Court for the District of New Mexico. Six assignments of error attack the judgment of conviction, claim being made that (a) the verdict was not supported by substantial evidence, (b) appellant was denied a prompt arraignment...
