Plaintiff Richard Lowe was a member of defendant Local 705, Hotel and Restaurant Employees Union, at the time he was employed as a maintenance man by the Young Women's Christian Association (hereafter referred to as YWCA). The terms of employment were controlled by the collective bargaining agreement between the employer and Local 705, among others.
