On October 20, 1961, defendant pleaded guilty to count II of information number 248951, charging him with grand theft (Pen. Code, § 487, subd. 1), and to count II of information number 248800 charging him with violating section 10851 of the Vehicle Code. He was represented by the public defender. On November 20, 1961, criminal proceedings in both matters were adjourned pending narcotic addiction commitment...
