The District Court, with a jury waived, found appellant guilty on seven counts of federal narcotics offenses. 26 U.S.C. §§ 4704(a), 4705(a); 21 U.S.C. § 174. The proof at trial was of sales of narcotics by appellant to a police undercover agent on two occasions, and the subsequent finding of narcotics in appellant's possession at the time of his arrest.
