MEMORANDUM OPINION

Foster Hardy, a ship's carpenter working for the Ryan Stevedoring Company, Inc., was injured while removing a pontoon from the number two hatch of a government-owned ship.

This suit against the Government alleging negligence and unseaworthiness followed—Ryan Stevedoring Company was made a third-party defendant—Both actions were heard by the Court without the aid of a jury....
