This is a civil rights class action brought pursuant to the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, 28 U.S.C. §§ 1331, 1343(3), 2201, and 42 U.S.C. §§ 1981, 1983. Plaintiffs William James and Van Dudley are Negro citizens of the United States and residents of Chicago, Illinois, who, allegedly, although qualified to perform the work of a plumber and sprinkler fitter, respectively...
