During the early morning hours of July 26, 1969, United States Customs officers arrested Herbert Ray McDaniel, Dennis Edward Drew, and James Edward Gipson at the San Antonio International Airport. Each was charged with violating various parts of the federal narcotics laws. An informer's tip was the first link in the chain of events which lead to their arrest and subsequent conviction, but additional links of credibility were fused to the informer...
