Brown, appellant, was the operator of a 1932 Chevrolet automobile which when stopped for a red signal light at the intersection of North Third Street and French Avenue in Temple, Texas, on November 22, 1967, was rear-ended by a 1959 Ford automobile driven by appellee, seventeen year old Miss Brenda Jane Vanderveer.
