AFIA, an unincorporated association of stock insurance companies, manages the insurance, surety, and reinsurance business of its members outside the continental United States, and, in pursuance of its duties, is empowered by its constitution to settle claims "arising out of transactions through the Association". The two causes reinstated hereby arise out of such a settlement, and are directed against AFIA itself instead of plaintiff's insurance carrier, St. Paul, on the theory...
