This litigation arises from a vehicular accident which occurred on August 15, 1967, on North Carrollton Avenue in the City of New Orleans. At approximately 3:00 p. m., on that day, defendant drove his automobile from a parked position on the right hand lane of Carrollton Avenue onto the roadway.
