This is an expropriation case in which the State of Louisiana through the Department of Highways took a portion of a tract of land belonging to Ruth Gentry Talley, defendant herein. The order of expropriation was signed on January 11, 1965, the case was tried on its merits on October 23, 1967, and November 16, 1967.
