Defendant Richard Ranicke appeals from a jury conviction of petit larceny. The defendant was originally charged with the crimes of grand larceny and second-degree burglary. The trial court reduced the charge of grand larceny to petit larceny because there was insufficient evidence to establish that the property taken was of the value of $75.
