On August 1, 1967, appellee employed appellant as custodian of William Whitley House State Shrine in Lincoln County, Kentucky. Her job status under the State Merit System (Chapter 18, KRS) was probationary for a period of six months. Within the six-months period, and on January 26, 1968, she was discharged by appellee.
