Appellant was convicted of unlawful possession of heroin1 by the trial court sitting without a jury. He was sentenced to 270 days imprisonment. This appeal followed.

For reasons which will appear, the only witness at the trial was on e of the arresting officers. He testified that in the early afternoon of January 7, 1970, he and another officer, both dressed in plain clothes, were patrolling in an unmarked...
