Defendant-appellant Polson was charged and convicted of the crime of assault with intent to commit murder and of being a persistent violator of the law. The judgment of conviction was appealed to this Court, which affirmed the conviction of assault with intent to commit murder, but reversed the conviction of being a persistent violator of the law.
