Marshall F. Garrell, Jr. was inducted into the Armed Forces of the United States on February 6, 1970. On the same day he filed this petition for writ of habeas corpus seeking release from the Armed Forces on the ground that the order under which he was inducted was issued in violation of the Selective Service Act of 1967, 50 U.S.C.
