LEVIN, J.

The defendant was convicted of attempting to obtain money by false pretenses1 from a credit union. He appeals claiming (1) that the people proved only that he attempted to obtain a check, not money, and (2) that even if he had succeeded in converting the check into money, the money which he would have obtained would not have been the credit union's money.
