On March 19, 1970 the United States filed a civil action in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia against Bristol-Myers Company, Beecham Group Limited, and Beecham, Inc. charging them with violations of the Antitrust Laws with respect to ampicillin and other semi-synthetic penicillin drugs.
