Defendant, Kenneth Fick, appeals from convictions by a jury of forgery in the second degree (K.S.A. 21-608) and uttering a forged instrument (K.S.A. 21-609).

The controlling question is whether the evidence establishes forgery. Defendant concedes the evidence might convict him of passing an insufficient fund check (K.S.A. 21-554) or of cheating by false pretense...
