The defendant, Jesse Bolen, was convicted by a jury of forgery in the second degree (K.S.A. 21-608), uttering or passing a forged instrument (K.S.A. 21-609), and possession of a firearm after previously being convicted of a felony (K.S.A. 21-2611).
