DONALDSON, Justice.

This is an appeal from a judgment of conviction for forgery1 and from the denial of a motion for new trial. Appellant (defendant) contends that he is entitled to a new trial since certain evidence was erroneously admitted by the trial court and that he was not given an opportunity to have counsel present at the time he was confronted by the prosecuting witness at the Coeur d'Alene Police Station.
