Prior to entering a plea, defendant moved to dismiss both cases on the ground that he was held from 31 October 1969 until 11 December 1969 without a preliminary hearing and without bail and on the ground that defendant was committed to Cherry Hospital for psychiatric evaluation without his consent. He also moved to quash the bills of indictment. Both motions were denied. The denial of these motions forms the basis for defendant's assignments of error...
