This class action was begun by Lillian Krumbeck, on behalf of herself and about four hundred other similarly situated employees of John Oster Manufacturing Company. Suit is brought under the Equal Pay Act of 1963, 29 U.S.C. § 206 (d) (1), which prohibits job discrimination on the basis of sex. The plaintiff and the members of her class are all females; it is charged that they were paid lower salaries than males...
