On December 13, 1967, defendant Andrew Thomas was arrested and charged with the sale and possession of narcotics. He was convicted of both charges, in a jury trial which commenced on March 20, 1969, and sentenced on April 10, 1969, to a term of not less than 20 years nor more than 21 years for the sale of narcotics with the recommendation of a 5 years minimum and a period of not less than 5 years nor more than 10 years on the conviction of possession of...
