Defendant was convicted in a Cook County circuit court bench trial under a two-count indictment charging him with possession of betting records and policy tickets, which constitute the offense of gambling under the Criminal Code. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1965, ch. 38, par. 28-1, subpars. (a) (5) and (a) (8).) It is his contention on appeal that the evidence upon which he was convicted...
