McCraney and his public liability insurer, United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company, from an adverse judgment based on a jury verdict awarding damages to plaintiffs, Mrs. Peggy S. Scruggs and her husband, William M. Scruggs, Jr., after entry of a remittitur with plaintiffs' consent as an alternative to a new trial.
