A petition for annexation to the defendant city of an extremely irregular parcel of land containing approximately 240 acres was filed on April 5, 1968.1 The parcel is physically connected to the City of Owosso by a strip of land purchased by the circulators of the petition especially for the purpose of securing that connection.
