Petitioner, Andrew Lee Saddler, having pleaded guilty to a charge of murder, was adjudged guilty of murder in the first degree and sentenced to a term of life imprisonment on March 15, 1957. He was represented by counsel retained by his foster-mother. No post trial motions were filed nor was an appeal taken.
