The plaintiff-appellant, Nellie Brinson, commenced this action in the Circuit Court for Palm Beach County, Florida, for damages for personal injuries allegedly caused by the defendant's negligent operation of an automobile. The answer of the defendant-appellee, Helene Weinstein, denied negligence and alleged contributory negligence. The jury returned a plaintiff's verdict on 31 December 1968 in the amount of $15,000.00.
